How Much/How Many in Greensboro? (week of 12/16/08)

Examining the weekly numbers for houses for sale in Greensboro this week we see that – *huzzah!* – there are slightly FEWER on the market than last week and the average price has increased slightly.

The changes are quite slight, but we take what we can get these days.

Last week there were 2980 houses on the market. This week 2939. That’s 41 (1.4%) fewer. Yeah!

(Why ‘yeah!’? Because until inventories come down, prices will not stabilize and things will not stop stinking. Pure and simple)

The average list price last week was $225,417. This week, $230,757. That up $5340 (2.4%).

For the week of December 16, 2008:

  • 436 - Pending Sales (15%)
