Well, it was a nice respite while it lasted. After a few weeks of declines in the number of new foreclosure listings in Greensboro, they popped back up.
The week’s new foreclosure listings were 15 compared to the previous 4.
And the breakdown for Greensboro’s foreclosure listings during 12/29/08-1/4/09*:
Total new foreclosures listed: 15
- single-family: 13
- townhouses: 1
- condos: 1
by Greensboro zip code:
And if we look at those zip codes comparing the most recent 3 weeks:
I was hoping the overall news, looking at the past rolling 12 week period would still have been an improvement.
Not this time:

Of the 161 foreclosures listed in the 12 week period ending 1/4/0, their status are
- Active - 119 (74%)
- Pending – 20 (12%)
- Closed – 22 (14%)
The one bright point is that the number closed (22) is the highest that’s been for several weeks.
