How Many for How Much in Greensboro (week of 2/17/09)
February 17th, 2009 by Casey .Phooey.
Drat.
Dang it, darn, blech, blerg, meh, pea-turkey and son-of-a-biscuit.
All right. Potty mouth time is over. But, I Swanee, I’m disappointed in this week’s numbers in regards to the housing inventory and average list price of those properties here in Greensboro.
We’ve been eking out some good-to-mixed news over the last several weeks and these stats let me down.
Nothing horrendous, mind you. And if you read last week’s post about these same metrics, you’ll see that today we are dining on peanuts and soda:
- Total Listings - 2887 (up 1.3% from last week)*
- Avg List Price - $239,183 (down 1.1% from last week)
Oh well. These numbers are still better than early December as you can see below. That’s good. And the percentage of single-family houses that are ‘pending’ is the highest it’s been, 17%. So that’s a good thing.
But that’s all the upbeat news I can muster on the topic today.
Here are the goodies for my “charter” members. (*sorry about that*)

As always, whether the news is good or bad, you’ll see it here.
